Chef Rob Masone

Chef and Co-Owner

In early 2006, Chef Rob started serving as the Executive Chef for B&B Catering, one of the premiere catering and event planning companies in the southeast. He specializes in hands on culinary experiences, fairy tale wedding receptions, wine pairings, and one of a kind menus he designed for a client list that included senators, congressmen, governors, foreign dignitaries, military generals and the Vice President of the United States.

In Early 2015, Chef Rob launched his own Company and opened Kre8 Events & Xperiences which is located in Charlotte but caters throughout the U.S. In late 2015, after a few great craft beers, Chef Rob partnered with Wooden Robot Brewery (one of Charlottes more popular breweries to date) and opened his first food truck called Twisted Eats.

Most recently, Chef Rob's creativity has been on display in Seaside, FL with his unique “crêpe cones” being served at Crêpes du Soleil and delicious twist on Cuban cuisine at Cocina Cubana.

Jay Eichelberger

Co-Owner

Jay is an entrepreneurship major from the University of Notre Dame. He spent his summers growing up in Seaside, FL: the town where he met his oldest friends and made his fondest memories. He watched as the airstreams slowly opened and hoped to eventually own and run one--little did he know!

He worked in the kitchens of two well-established Atlanta restaurants, Bone’s and OK Café, and learned valuable skills about preventing food waste for a more efficient kitchen. He went on to co-found Crêpes du Soleil and Cocina Cubana and has learned even more about the restaurant business and is thrilled to be part of the amazing Seaside Merchant community. From sales tax to lease agreements to manning the register, he's the guy that keeps everything running!

Liz Eichelberger

Co-Owner

Liz is a marketing and political science major from the University of Notre Dame. After graduation, she worked for a digital marketing company in Atlanta as a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist before plunging headfirst into entrepreneurship.

Liz knew that the panhandle was an important place to Jay, but didn’t truly understand its magic until she first came to visit in 2013. Since then, she has fallen in love with the area and now is the co-owner of Crêpes du Soleil and Cocina Cubana. She has learned a lot about the restaurant industry and has become the best crêpe maker in Seaside. When not making crêpes, you'll find her slinging Cubano sandwiches or frying up croquetas in Cocina Cubana. Outside of the kitchen, she runs all social media accounts and websites for both restaurants.

G.G. (Lupe) Eichelberger

Co-Owner

Havana born and Florida raised, G.G. (Lupe) Eichelberger has always felt happiest at the beach. After braving cold winters to earn a BA from the University of Notre Dame, Lupe received an MBA from Georgia State University. She worked for several years as Director of Planning and Research at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. When her children, Jay and Eric, were young she felt the call of the sea once again. Luckily, she and her husband, Tom, were able to buy a place in Seaside in 1999. Lupe spent summers and most school holidays in Seaside with her children. Now, as an empty nester, she is able to enjoy Seaside throughout the year, and she truly appreciates the “off season” (what little of it there is).

Lupe is co-owner of Crêpes du Soleil and Cocina Cubana. She is a former board member of CURE Childhood Cancer. Currently, she serves as an Advisory Council member at the University of Notre Dame.
